President of Maldives hosts dinner for SAARC leaders

President of Maldives Mohammed Nasheed and his wife Laila Ali hosted a dinner reception in honour of leaders of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) here on Thursday at Shangrila Resort.The leaders of SAARC are here to attend the 17th SAARC Summit being hosted by Maldives in Addu City, which is a small Island of Maldives.

The dinner was attended by Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Ms. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bhutan Lyonchhen Jigmi Y. Thinley, Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of Nepal Dr Baburam Bhattarai and President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Leading artists of Maldives presented traditional songs and dances on this occasion.
